Anyone had to use hub-centric rings when going with 22s or 24s? A guy i spoke with said there's a possibility of having vibration over a certain speed if you don't use these rings when using a larger center bore aftermarket wheel

Depends on the wheel
Most "older" cars and trucks center, or locate their wheels by the lug nuts. Newer vehicles have a lip built around the axle hub to locate the wheels. If the wheel you purchase is made to locate off that lip, you might need hubcentric rings. I hate to admit this, but I haven't even seen the lug nuts on my truck. 2 years, and only 2 services. I've put a whopping 13,000 miles +/- since I purchased it. So I don't know if the TB's even have a hub to locate the hubcentric ring off of.

The center bore on your aftermarket wheels needs to match the Trailblazer. Thus making it hubcentric. If the center bore on the wheels is bigger, then you will need hub rings. The lip on the hub centers the wheel and supports the lateral force on the studs.
