I have a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer and my wipers will not turn off. They do switch speeds, but they will not turn off. This is the first time that this has happened to me. I'm not sure if something got wet due to this weather or if there is a recall for a 2005 model. After searching for recalls, I saw that this similar problem occurred in the 2002/03 models.

unfortunately..

I'm past my warranty. I did have electrical problems when I first bought the truck and my fuse box under the rear seat was replaced. Had problems with the relays getting too hot and shorting out my power windows.

If they have your electrical problems logged in the system, I would take it to the dealer and ask what they can do for you. In the meantime, just pull your wiper fuse. If it is only the switch, is shouldn't be that much to repair/replace. Thats a really weird problem to have!

It sounds like a short somewhere, probably in the fuse box they replaced. I heard the northeast is getting slammed by a storm right now so you probably can't pull out the fuse. Try moving the wiper switch around some, maybe it'll fix something if it is the switch.
