This is a question for the machinists and fab guys, I really want a Road Armor style bumper, but theres no one in my area that I know of to create a custom one. My question is would it be too difficult to mod a Winch Ready bumper like this http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/subpages/winch-ready-bumpers-chevy-gmc.htm (I want the 00-02 Silverado No Guard option) to fit my Envoy?

If its too difficult could anyone slip me some ideas so I could instruct a machinist to create one for me

I can get you one of my standard bumpers with a 2" receiver in the middle of it, for $425 + shipping, or I can make you a "winch bumper" that'll hold a winch inside it, for a bit more... I'm starting the prototype of that one in the next week or 2...

The winch will actually be farther down in the bumper than it is in the models, there...

ETA: Crap, I just saw that you have an Envoy... Those are for Trailblazers, and I haven't been able to get anybody with a non-body-lifted Envoy that's close to me to order a prototype; so I don't make Envoy bumpers yet, really...

As of a couple months ago, KMA (now "tactical Armor Group" or something) makes an Envoy bumper that holds a winch: http://www.tacticalarmorgroup.com/T...ore/TAGStore/tabid/71/CategoryID/171/List/1/Level/a/ProductID/1803/Default.aspx

I don't do this for a living, so my lead times are long; but I'll warn you that you will be paying for the Wincher ASAP, but their lead times are, as Bill says, "legendary" in the off road industry... I haven't heard of anybody longer than 6 months, but I gather 1-3 months is typical...
