Hello everyone! I posted my original comment in the wrong thread in April but here is the solution incase anyone wants to know.
Original from April:
Hi everyone,

For the past 3-4 months I’ve been experiencing the wraith of code p2135 (reduced engine power and a knock). It pops whenever the truck feels like it. I just ended my longest stint of not having it pop which lasted for about 2 months after I replaced the TB assembly. I also replaced the pig tail connector that goes to the TB. Looking for some diag tips here. My next thought would be to replace the sensor that’s attached to the accelerator pedal.
Just FYI, the only code that pops is p2135. I have resorted to clearing the codes whenever it comes up.
Please let me know if any of you have some tips for me. I’m fairly handy in the garage and have a Bluetooth scan tool, just not that much brains when it comes to electrical issues if that’s the case.
Also just wanted to say a thank you to all you wise people for the help you’ve given me in the past. I appreciate all the advice you give me
Update / steps taken / solution
Hey everyone,

just an update on this.. so I ended up replacing the pedal assembly in may, and I thought this was over..well, the problem came back intermittently however it was slightly longer in between occurrences.. not sure why.
then it just stopped happening from the end of may until last week. However this time it was happening back to back after clearing the codes, it’s starting to get colder by me at least in the morning, and this lead me to think that it might be the connector I repaired prior. I pretty much replaced the entire system around it so I thought go back to the source.
I used a pick and pull connector I found nearby when I did this originally but I wasn’t as concerned about that because to my understanding, electronics either work or they don’t. So my head immediately went to the wiring. It was an absolute hack job, I used heat shrink solder connectors to make the repair. I even had a double splice in there. Besides the point it was pretty much fubar but it worked. I looked into it and found out that those solder connectors aren’t the best for this type of application I.e (harsh temps, hot , cold, moisture, movement from driving etc) I’m sure it also didn’t help that the donor connector I got was about 2 weeks away from retirement… lol
my steps of action:
I bought a brand new connector online, I believe it was from Standard auto parts. It was truly the only one I could find with a picture that matched what I needed.
i bought a butt connector set from Hasstronica, it came with this awesome tool that crimps them with ease.
I “unwired” my previous work and clipped back to a good spot on the harness and wired in the new connector with the new crimped butt connectors and some extra heat shrink plus some dielectric grease.
Now It works like a charm and the codes are gone, even took it on an extensive shake down cruise in the rain and tried to hit every pothole I could but she held strong so we seem to be headed in the right direction.
either way, I hope this is helpful to someone one day, or you can at least have a chuckle at my stupidity / misfortune.
Thanks for reading
Didn’t snag a pic of the finished product.. but here are the codes and my original work. And the new connector.
