Hello, my name is Eric. My wife and I just picked up a 2008 Envoy Denali, this is our first Envoy. So far this site has been very helpful on fixing a few little issues we've had so far. I haven't done any modifications yet but my wife wants a better exhaust already, something louder. We live in eastern Iowa.

Welcome Eric

Hi Eric, I have an 07 Envoy Denali that has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. Purchased new in 07, just turned 160,000 miles with very few issues. Although I have a 2014 Buick Enclave the wife and I prefer to drive the Denali as it fits us and we love the V8. With proper care the later Trailvoys are great vehicles in my opinion. I wish you the best with your new purchase.

Dave:)

I also just bought a 2008 Envoy Denali with about 80,000 miles. I do love it. I have had a couple of issues with it but this forum has been a great resource in helping to diagnose the problems and save me lots of money in repairs.

Here's the short version. You can read more about these in other areas. First thing was the sudden loss of oil pressure while driving at 70. Gauges said to shut down engine. Problem was a clogged sending unit. Replaced sending unit and have had no problems since (5,000 miles). This seems to be a common problem with the 5.3 engine.

Most recently the Envoy went in to a reduced power mode on the freeway and I had to drive about 20 miles unable to go over 40. Repair shop fixed by cleaning the throttle body and reprogramming. 500 miles so far and no other problem.

Enjoy your Envoy

Thanks, we had the Envoy for a week and I had the issue of the oil pressure sensor filter plugging (got that fixed) and now the driver's door window is very very slow, it stopped half way up and had to wait a few seconds before it would keep going up. Otherwise we do like the truck, I am in the process of doing a tune up and fixing the issues that have been ignored or neglected by the previous owner. We have been getting average of 20 mpg with it and love the power and ride it has.
