Here are two pics of my 2003 LTZ with lights on the running boards. Also notice the signal mirrors are wired into the parking lights as well.

Interesting....so you bought it pre-modded??
LOL - no. I've had it only two weeks now and have already added several mods. List of mods to date as follows:
1) Installed relay to kill DRLs
2) Installed 7000k HID Upgrade Kit
3) Already had signal mirrors, but connected them to parking light circuit so the light with headlights, also flash with signals
4) Installed running board lights - got them at K'nects for $7 each, 3 on each side. They're LED side markers that I removed the bezels from so they would fit flush on the boards - just drilled through the plastic and screwed them in.
5) Installed chrome exhaust tip, also got at K'nects for $25

My next mods on the list are to add the TNF lights to the roof rack - already ordered the parts just waiting for them to arrive. Also ordered the TNF badges I'll add to the pillar. After that, I think I'm going to add Angel Eyes Halo headlights and LED tailights. Everyone thinks I'm going crazy buying a car and immediately modding it - but hey, it's a Trailblazer and it's fun. It's better money spent than on say, bills. =)

Nothing wrong with mods...I have 1 or 2 myself. beware those halo lights. Everybody that has had them has said they don't put out much light, and they suck for driving at night. Make sure you can return them if they really suck!

I wonder if they make led strips that would work on the boards? Like the line of fire people put on the rear?
You know, I was actually thinking of doing that first, but then it all came down to cost. I really wanted to do the TNF Clearance Lights, and my budget wouldn't allow me to do line of fire at the same time. But I just couldn't wait, so when I was at K'nect's getting the exhaust tip, I happened to walk down the aisle with all the marker lights and then the idea came to me to use surface mount LEDs. Plus, at only about $7 each for 6 of them (I already had all the wire and wire taps), it fit my budget better. =) But I'm still interested in doing the line of fire on the rear at some point... got to get the TNF lights on first!

Halo lights arrived today. I'm rather disappointed and I haven't even installed them yet. No where on the website when I was ordering them or in the documentation was it stated that they don't use OEM-style bulbs! I assumed (I guess that's my error) that being a direct OEM replacement headlamp assembly that it would use the OEM-style headlamp bulbs (the 9006 and 9005). The Angel Eyes I got use H3 and H4 bulbs and there is no way a 9006 is going to fit. This is a problem since my aftermarket HID kit is a direct replacement for a 9006 bulb and it will not fit the opening on the Halo light. I'm not willing to give up my HIDs for the Halos, so I guess they're going back. If someone wants them, I'll gladly sell them for my cost and I'll even pay s/h. Otherwise, I'm paying s/h and a 20% restocking fee to send them back.

that looks cool.

i like the idea of hooking up the mirror lights to the parking lights to stay on with the headlights and then flash with the turn signal.

if you get all this done in two weeks imagine what the next two months will bring.:dielaugh:
