Bad Motor mounts causing Transmission issues

Hi - I have an 2004 Trailblazer EXT 5.3 V8 RWD automatic. The last few weeks my vehicle has been having issues while shifting. It high revs between gears and overall (especially accelerating from a stop) is very slow to switch into gears. If I press the gas to go quickly it high revs then eventually will go into gear . This has caused me to slowly accelerate and "take it easy" overall on the gas peddle. Fearing it could be a failing transmission I took it to the shop. after taking it for a test drive they determined my issue was "bad motor mounts causing my transmission to feel like it was slipping". The shop checked my transmission through and through and said replacing the 2 mounts and tranny mount would fix the odd shifting my tranny was doing. My fluids and overall tranny were fine. My question is, is this a common issue ? I have shopped the parts and found all 3 for under $200 shipped (FYI I am a guru at finding best discounts online). I have read all over the web (especially here) that this does and can happen and cause transmission issues and sometimes this leads to misdiagnosis of transmission repairs... So any advice is appreciated!

I did, both shops (trusted and years of use) have said the same thing. The alignment of my transmission is off due to the failed motor mounts. Because of the misalignment my transmission is not sitting where it is supposed to me. Both shops said this is an issue with quite a few trailblazers they have had in. I don't know if a third opinion is now needed or if I should just go ahead and replace them to avoid future issues
