Hello all

I've read alot about people putting on Ava Z71 shocks and springs, but i havent seen a brand name for either. Will any do or is there a specific kind that most use. Since i found this site, all I can think about is how to lift my TB. Thankz for all the info.

Do a little looking around, there is a wealth of information on this site. Might also want to check out www.offroadtb.com for some very valuable info.

To get you going, the 'brand' springs, are the STOCK springs from 07 and up Avalanche, and other vehicles of that platform, with the Z71 package. The part # is posted on these boards along with instructions on how to find a seller on ebay who is selling take off sets of springs and shocks...

Welcome to the site... now for the obligatory pic...

Hey man, welcome. I used the stockers that came off of the 09 Avalanche, and have had no issues as of yet. Around 12K on them. Up front I used Bilstein HD's from shockwarehouse.com. Therefore, I cannot speak for an aftermarket shock company for the Z71 shocks. But, any shock designed for an 09 Avalanche Z71 should work just fine......emphasis on the should!

The shocks don't even do anything for the lifting of the rear themselves...the springs from the Z71 Ava/Tahoe is what gives you the extra lift. The shocks will only provide extra articulation in the rear so look for a set of the springs that comes with shocks on ebay.

It is something that you won't regret! They really reduce the body roll and make it feel more like a truck without giving it a harsh ride. This mod is one that I would recommend to all trailvoy owners. I personally think that a stock vehicle would benefit from using a lowered tahoe spring if they did not want to gain lift. Good luck on your venture!

you didn't find it in search because you need to search in description as well... I made the same mistake.
