Hey guys -

Been battling this for a while now. My endgate seems to have no memory as to whether the glass is up or down. As all XUV owners surely know, this messes up the ability to use the roof or the actual gate. Doing the re-learn is easy enough and allows the gate to open or close, but it is a temporary fix at best. It's gotten to the point that I have to reset it EVERY time I try open the rear gate, use the rear wiper, use the rear defrost, put the glass down so I can open the roof, etc.

So, my question is: what do I replace?! I've read some advice that says the position sensor is in the latches, some that says the regulator motor could be the culprit, and one or two forums that just suggest replacing the endgate control module (ECM). So.....anyone else had this problem and have a definitive solution? I really hate throwing money at parts that may not make any difference, but that's kinda where I'm at.

Thanks guys! :thx
