I have looked on the site for a while and havnt been able to scrape up enough information to attempt this but i want to some how use the factory xm set up in my 2005 trailblazer and attach it to my aftermarket pioneer avic f700bt.

The plug in is right on the back of the avic and i want to avoid buying the 100 doller adapter for the unit.

Any attemps on this or ideas for a way to rig the xm wire from the factory xm reciever

I am in no way an audio guy so I'm thinking logically. If you actually had XM (not just an XM capable radio) then why would you not be able to take the wire from the XM module and plug it into the AVIC unit. I would assume that the plug on the end of the wire would fit your new unit.

Why not try it and see what happens? It won't cost you anything but the subscription to XM, which you are going to pay for anyway.
