Hi all, I need a spare key for my 04 Rainier. Can I buy any Rainier key blank or are their different resistor values? My Bonneville took a specific resistor value which you have to know when buying a new blank. Not sure if that is the case here. Anybody know?

Thanks,

-Jason

Thanks everyone. I have had so many GM's and others over the years with passkey I, II and III and they all seem different. The best handling car but least user friendly car I have ever owned was a 1995 Eagle Vision TSI way back when, but everything had to be programed at the dealer with their special machine including key fobs. For the 97 Bonneville SSEI which I will be selling soon, you have to actually take your working key into the dealer for them to read the resistor value in a machine then buy that value key. This Buick seems a lot more sophisticated than those cars.
