2007 Envoy SLT 4x4

The video below shows exactly what is going on with my Envoy.
I have checked the parts diagram and there is a bearing on the left side of the differential where the CV shaft inserts into.

Issue: Whiny/grinding noise like a bearing has gone out. Put both front wheels up off the ground. I can turn the right wheel and is totally quiet. But get the noise when I turn the left wheel.

Would like some input before I go purchase a blind bearing puller and the bearing before attempting to replace it. I will also get the seal too.

The part:

Thank you.

Have you made sure that it is the differential bearing that is making the noise? It could also be the hub. hub bearing have been known to fail often.

Also, have you checked the differential fluid level?

I replaced the wheel bearing with a moog part and also changed the fluid.
Fluid looked good and I didn't see any metal in it.

With the wheels off the ground, I can definitely tell it's coming from the differential.
