i like that amp in the first one but unfilimar with the sub, i know about arc, they are a good brand .... thats about it (same creator for zapco, too.)
and i like the second one. overall pretty good, dont know about the 1000 bucks new though. you can get the sub off ebay for like $250 get a box for like $100, and leaves you $150-200 for an amp....
try talking him down, couldnt hurt. also get some pics, i woulnt do anything till you get some pics.
