Hey all, had a good bit of rain here, and unfortunately had to go thru a pretty big puddle to get where I needed to go. Almost immediately afterwards, my service 4wd light came on. Went to bed, woke up and the light was gone. Went to switch out of 2wd to test and the light came back on, so i'm guessing the control module and switch are fine, and the problem is under the car. Anyone else have this happen to them, and if so what was your fix?

When switching between 2HI and 4HI (A4WD) you should hear 2 distinct motor sounds. One under the driver's seat area (transfer case encoder) and the other at the right front wheel area (disconnect actuator. If one of those is silent, then check its connector for water. These devices should be able to survive a water bath.
