Hi! I own a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer LT with the 4.2 L I6 engine. Ever since I bought the car it has a whining noise (kinda like a hum. It's hard to explain but it doesn't sound like a belt screech) that I can't quite pin down to a specific area. I hear the same type of whining from other Trailblazers and SUV's my size, so is it just the way the engine sounds or is there some part I need to check on/switch out.

(Also, today I installed a ten inch Glass back Cherry Bomb along with a new engine air filter (nothing special) and my car begins to die/stall out with soft pressure to the gas pedal. Did I break something? Did I put something on wrong? I am in need of an oil change if that's the problem.)

Thank you so much for your time reading this, and I am eager to hear solutions to my many problems.
