I am considering buying a new travel trailer and have read a lot of threads about towing but none have really answered my question so far.
The towing specs I got for my Envoy Denali from NADA is:

Engine Specifications

Type: Gas V8
Size: 5.3L/327
Horsepower: 300 @ 5200 RPM
Torque: 330 @ 4000 RPM
Max Towing Capacity: 6850
Max Payload: 1501

The camper weight is: 5203 lb. with a tongue weight of 570 lb.

I already have a Reese weight distribution hitch with sway control.

The problem I have is in setting this up. I read somewhere you need to pull the compressor fuse before setting up the WD hitch to disable the auto leveling system.

Should I replace the fuse after setting up the bars? If I do replace the fuse won't it change the weight distribution when the compressor kicks on?

If I set up the WD hitch with the air leveling system active, more of the trailer weight will be on the air bags and won't be on the WD/Sway bars.

Anyone ever dealt with this before? Do you know the correct way to set these up?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
