Just had to have the transfer case module, and the throttle body assembly
replaced on my '02 GMC Envoy. When I received it back from the dealership,
it now has a vibration both when idle and in gear. Although the transfer
case module was not working before the repair, the engine would start and
was not vibrating. I returned to the dealership to complain about the vibration,
but all they could say is the "motor mounts needed to be replaced.
They weren't causing a problem before! Does this sound right?

Unfortunately, they could be right.

It might be coincidence that the motor mounts went bad, or now that the dealer serviced the throttle body, it idles in an area now where you are receiving the 10 hertz vibration from the bad motor mounts not absorbing the vibrations anymore, which is most common when they fail. You'll notice the vibration most at idle, around 650 rpm's.

The motor mounts are original on my suv still. However, from what Ive read replacing them is a real treat especially if you have four wheel drive.
