Have spent some time trying to diagnose this, and have recently come to a conclusion. Just wanted to know if anyone else has seen this issue.

My wifes '03 trailblazer randomly dies when the the brakes are applied hard. Since she is pregnant, I gave her my vehicle to drive for a week or so to see if I could recreate the problem. So apparently it died while she was driving it, and I had her go and get the codes pulled.

ABS Motor pump
ABS Speed Sensor
Cam Shaft Position Sensor

Reset the codes and drove it for the past week. Probably pissed a bunch of people off, braking hard all over the place, but I was unable to get the car to die. Finally last night I found a large patch of snow and ice left over from last week. Revved her up, and then gave the ol ABS a real go. The vehicle slowed, ABS worked correctly and the engine dropped down to about 250RPM, coming right back up after I stopped.

So sounds to me that the pump is putting a large load on the electrical system causing it to make the vehicle die. -replace ABS pump and computers...

Anyone else seen this?
Just don't want to waste $300-$500 bucks if its just a sensor.
