I have a 2004 trailblazer ls, It is factory equipped with a steering wheel that does not contain any radio or other controlls. I have purchased a used leather wrapped steering wheel that is equipped with the controll switches. Is it possible to make the controlls operable in my vehicle, If so what needs to be done. Thanks in advance

Moved to Audio & Electronics.

The specialists should be along in a bit to offer advice, but my impression is that not all radios support steering wheel controls, but there are adapters you can get if you change the head unit out to one that's compatible with the adapter.

To add steering wheel control to an OEM radio, may require a dealer's touch with a scan tool to activate the option in the BCM.

Of course, I may also be guessing with insufficient information. Bad me.

Several items.......Clockspring that will support the controls, Wiring harness, programming the radio for controls, possibly a radio if the vehicle did not have that as an option for that year. to install the wiring disassembly of the column, quite intensive....there are a few excellent threads on here....try the search button at the top center of the home page!!
