Its was a b***h..but cylinder 2 and 8 are the biggest hassle...remove the air intake and washer fluid basin for better access to cylinder 2 and if replacing coils attach wire to coil to eliminate a lot of contorting of the wrist.

Haha i def agree on cylinder 2. That took most of my time doing that one. Also when i was doing cyl 1 on drivers side i unplugged coolant sensor and connector just fell apart in my hand so i had to wire in a new pigtail for that. I just changed plugs and reused wires. Runs ten times better now. Just did mine last week. Mine had mix matched plugs. Someone just changed all easy ones and left hard ones lol

Here is my only problem, It runs very good, but my MPG has suffered to 9-10MPG. Plus I used double platinum becuase I ordered them incorrectly....could this be the reason I am not able to get better gas mileage? Should I order the iridum plugs to achieve better MPG?

I don't know about the V8, but the 6 cylinder definitely likes the AC Delco Iridiums over anything else.

Yeh i did the acdelco iridiums just so i wouldnt have to do it again for a long time. Ive always consistently got 15-16 normal everyday driving and 21-23 higways with my 5.3 envoy.

I Will agree plugs and wires are a royal pain. Cyl1 is a pain but cyl 2 and 4 make you want to beat something with a hammer. A pair of long crooked needle nose plyers and a long pry bar makes it so much easier On cyl 1 and 2 fish the plyers on the boot put your pry bar behind the ac lines from the top on cyl 2 then pry against the plyers and it pops right off move pry bar to shock tower to put back on . Cyl 1 basically the same I use a small block of wood with a magnet glued to it and stick it on the motor to have something to pry against on cyl 1. Cyl 4,6 and 8 is best accessed by the rear of the wheel well there's a rubber flap that lets you get to them pretty easy with a swivel and extension. Cyl 3,5 and 7 are no problem .

Man....A WORD OF CAUTION...Dont buy cheap ignition coils...mine are dropping like flies....just gone have to chalk up the money to replace them all with GN10165 Ignition Coil....no more cheapy cheap for me.
