I am a professional mechanic and recently did a valve job on a 2004 Izuzu
Trooper with the GM 4.2 liter engine. I am positive that the timing is
correct and yes I did rotate the advance actuator fully clockwise before
tightening the bolt on the exhaust cam. Code sets during cranking. If I clear
the code and then drive the vehicle, the light will stay off until the next
ignition cycle.
This code was not present before the repairs were made. Has anyone had
an experience like this before? Thanks in advance!!!
