I’m new to the SS and I found the seal/weather stripping down behind the headlight. It was dry rotted and the seal part was gone. Does this seal make a difference with the air coming in or is it necessary. I posted an example

Ya know --- the factory puts all that stuff in there for a reason. It's kinda important to have it - but I think what's missing isn't a game killer.

It may be for road noise; forcing the air flow to go where it wants to not normally; aerodynamics in a wind tunnel to max-out fuel mileage, etc.

I think it might be a good idea to watch a few videos by a guy in Chicago area and see how fanatical he is about keeping all the factory parts inside where you cannot see them 'cause the factory specified that it be there

Watch this guy a few chapters and see for yourself....
