I have an 05 Yukon with TPMS. That vehicles TPMS is part of the passenger door module. While I could get the learning mode started I could never get it to recognize all 4 wheels due to old batteries in the sensors. I ended up using my bluetooth obd2 adapter and just wrote in the proper sensor ID values into the proper memory locations myself.
What tool is this?

Not so much a tool in the common sense. An ELM327 clone (OBD2 adapter) is an interface device that enables hobbyists to communicate with the vehicle network. There are softwares that can use the device to read codes and display real time diagnostic data. To my knowledge there is no software to do TPMS position learning for you. I researched and studied the protocol/language enough to be able to locate the memory locations where the TPMS sensor IDs were stored and then wrote the sensor IDs for my wheels in where they belonged.
My dude that's sick.
