02 trailblazer. key wont come out or lock in OFF position.also do not need to push shifter bnutton in to switch gears? could it possibly be that switch the shift button goes into is bad? and would that tell column not in park to remove key ?

Hello and welcome.:thumbsup: Problems could be tied where it wont let the key out cause it thinks its in gear. Use the search at the top.

Check the "IGN" fuse in the fuse box under the driver-side rear seat. I forget the number, but it's a 10 amp mini fuse.
