The thermostat itself is pretty easy - getting to it is another story. Most of us followed the manuals and removed the alternator. That is the hard part. The bottom bolt for the alternator is right up against an a/c line that doesn't move very much!
Another member has replaced the thermostat without removing the alternator. He had a write up and photos - might want to do a quick search. It seems to me he took the left front wheel off and went in that way.
