Recently got an 04 trailblazer ls, 104k miles, and noticed the temperature gauge is going way past 260 degrees. I hooked an obII code reader up and its saying the temperature is 185. I have no idea whats going on, or even where to start. Everything else seems to be working fine, i know the truck is not 260 degrees. Also, when the truck is on and off the battery light stays very dim, but is putting out 14 volts. Does this sound like im looking at replacing an instrument cluster? Thanks in advance for any help

Re: temperature

Yeah the temperature gauge will read 210 when the truck is off, and sometimes the.hottest it will go. now how hard is the instrument cluster to remove, to replace the stepper motor? And is the battery light :thxsomething to be concerned with?
