I recently purchased a 2004 Rainier AWD with air suspension. This suspension seems to be rear hard and you can feel every asphalt strip you cross. Is there a relief value that could be stuck that would cause the air bags to be pressured up too much?
The air ride system runs continuous diagnostics to see problems like that. If it isn't happy, it flashes the LED near the air inflator valve inside the rear cargo area as a clue. It's not often I hear of too-hard shocks, but that's another possible problem, but I agree it's likely tire pressure to check first.
