My 04 TB is making an awful and very loud squeaking noise in the rear of the vehicle when going forward from zero to about 40 miles an hour and will somewhat stop when you are not excelerating. It does the same when you are coming to a stop but it does not happen in reverse. We just changed the brakes and nothing changed. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong??

Have you hitten a rock, or something, and pushed the break backing plate against the rotor?

Check for excess motion in the drive shaft U joints. Bad thing is you can't lube OE's, you can buy new ones with grease fittings for routine lube. Yeah, they do squeak when they get dry. Wish they came with grease fittings when new, cause they are a PIA to replace. Don't wait too long to check these cause when they fail, BAD THINGS CAN HAPPEN. Hope this can help you.
