I got a pair of Kenwood speakers for my front doors, and I know how to remove the door panel, but how do I separate the bracket from the insulation? Or how do I separate the factory speaker from the bracket?
Thanks. I removed the screws from the bracket, but my blazer has insulation inside the door panel that I haven't seen on any other blazer, and the bracket is glued or somehow stuck to it. I just don't want to mess up the insulation, but also don't want to spend money on installation when it costs more than the speakers themselves.
:undecided Hmm, I dunno man. My doors have a black plastic like sheet that's sealed around the edges of the door with some silicone adhesive, but there's a hole in it for the speaker pods and for the wiring and stuff to pass through. Nothing carpet-like in mine. Do all your doors have it? Would like to see it.
