I'm getting a little confused on which plug my 07 envoy 5.3 takes. Originals where a 41-985 according to owners manual. Those where what I removed the 1st time I changed them. Was told that number was replaced by 41-110. Those where put in 12000 miles ago. Since I have an oil consumption issue which cause some plugs to foul. I was going to change some today. Well the plug number according to parts store now is 41-162.
So which spark plug is right?

41-985 original
41-110 currently installed
41-162 new part number per oreily's, auto zone, and rock auto.

originals gm part 12571164 (41-985) which superseded to the 12621258 (41-110)
Currently installed gm part 12621258 (41-110) Was that part number when installed 5 months ago or so.
new part gm part 19417055 (41-162)

If you look up originals 12571164 it will cross you to the 12621258. Which was the part number for it 5 months ago. That's why I have the 41-110 installed.

Today it will give you 19417055 (41-162). So was this just a part number change? Is there a difference in the spark plugs?

It's best to go with the newest numbers. Part numbers change for various reasons, mostly due to some kind of change to the part.

I agree with you. But This is part of the reason I'm questioning this. If the 41-162 is shorter then the 41-110. How will that affect things?? Would the plug last longer before it was oiled fouled?? Now I get between 12000 to 15000 miles on certain cylinders. I bet you can guess what cylinders are the problem ones. lol

I found this here https://www.2carpros.com/questions/correct-spark-plugs

Pulling up the spark plug product number by VIN, on dealer and GM parts sites gives me A.C. Delco 41-110, and a circle with a line through for availability. Pulling it up by make, model, 8th digit of VIN etc, gives AC Delco 41-162, which are quite a bit shorter. Which is correct?

VIN 3
3gnfk12307g233259.
I compared the two, the 110 is about 3/8 of an inch longer from the seat to the electrode.

pics of the 2 different plugs. They change the electrode on the end. Hope the new ones last longer with the oil consumption issue.
