hi, i just bought an intake and went to install it, and i got the two hoses in. i am getting rid of the intake resonator, but there is a plug that is directly on top of it, just below the word vortec. what is it, and do i need it in my new intake?
also, without the resonator, it is really loud or kinda subtle and just sound good. for fun my friends and i removed my muffler and resonator, and it sounded decent, but while driving you couldn't hear yourself talk.. i liked it, but my girlfriend hated it. so i want to be sure that deleting the resonator will not make it obnoxiously loud.
