I have a 2008 Trailblazer LT {not EXT) with the second seat {back of front console) radio and HVAC controls. When I try to increase the fan speed from the rear control, the fan speed blows harder for a few seconds, and then returns to low. I don't think there are two blower motors, but I don't understand how there can be a front and a rear fan speed control for the same motor. Is the rear vent volume controlled by a door/ doors in the dash area? Thanks in advance for your input.

In my '04 the rear blower is powered by the front blower, i.e., there is no fan speed for the rear blower. By turning on the rear hvac system there is less air up front.
