Yeah ozone is a HUGE no-no for someone with asthma. I was not aware of the "plug in" hepa filter, do you have a link?There are air purifiers that plug into the 12V accesory socket. There are cheap ($20 range) ones that are just ionizers or more expensive ones with HEPA filters. I would go with the later, they can be had for $125 or so.
