I moved this to its own thread. Please don't hijack somebody else's on an entirely different subject. But welcome!

Did you get the code read that caused the SES light? Just to confirm it's only the thermostat issue?

It seems you have nothing more wrong than a stuck thermostat, and there are many threads, some with pics, about buying an aftermarket replacement and installing it. Removing the alternator makes it much, much easier. Good luck!

sorry about the hijack still learning my way around here
had code read at advance auto either low coolant level which its not or thermostat which im leaning towards

I am having the same issue. Just bought a new stat from AZ. Now I have a project after work to do. Code is telling me low coolant temp. So I have to believe it is stuck open and my temp is 2 clicks to the left aswell.

somewhere on here- I have a HOW TO replace the thermostat.
theres also someone elses HOW to-- (without removing alternator).

take your pick which you want to do.
In regards to mine- to see all pics (those with red x's)-- simply visit my Picture gallery. theyre all there
