My rear step pad will not sit straight the left side is coming up when i tried to take it off the clips farthest away from the body are stuck in and on the left side there is a lump which is causing the pad to not be level. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do other than go it at with a hammer and try to straighten it.

Pull the bumper cover off the truck (9 screws & 4 pins) remove the bumper scuff pad, clean everything up using a knife if necessary. When you put the cover back on, use a soldering iron to remelt the plastic mounting tabs, holding the scuff pad in place until the plastic solidifies.
