Totally random times you go to start the envoy and it won't crank.. has lots of battery power... leave it for a few minutes and it will start up no problem... anyone had these issues?
Maybe you can try the PATS bypass thing-y ---> "I'm gonna steal this car even though it takes 45 minutes to do it .... mostly doing nothing" process. My TB has sat for 8 months with this, "I just dont feel like starting anymore". The passkey is a common issue. The #28 fuse blowing is a common issue. That fuse feeds the ignition coils and injectors. I though it actually feeds back to everything else.
We got a newer Snap on ethos edge scanner, and the problem that came up is it does not show a key is in the ignition. We tried everything and eventually just put a little toggle switch someone put on a stereo box to the plunger in the ignition switch, brown and green wires. Whether the switch is on or off, the key recognized as in or not in, it started 20 times. But I guarantee, I drive this somewhere for more that 20 minutes and it is going to die.
I got an actual set of schematics and the 29 fuse for heated o2 sensors are hot all the time. I have no idea why that would be, but it is my next place to look.
My thinking, is eventually the computer decides, hey, someone must be stealing this car because the key is not in the ignition and killing power.
My thought was change it to a 30 amp so I will see charred wire to let me know what the bad wire is. Still did not work. the foil deal is about the same as eliminating the fuse. You can always do "The Marlboro" fuse trick where you wrap the fuse with the foil liner that you throw away from the fliptop box when you fresh open it.
That always worked for body shops and keeps the fuse from blowing.
