I believe that GM designers wanted to cut cost in later years and offer single decks with that package. The reason I say this is because I own a Pontiac G6 and have read that the 06 model with the Monsoon system was offered in a 6-disc CD changer and was replaced by a single disc one in the 07+ models. I'm sure the same is true for all other GM products. It is more than likely the original radio. It's not unheard of for GM to do this...

I believe that if you look inside of your clove box you will find a list of Codes. Just take that list and look up the opitions you have listed on your vehicle.

 

thats what I did. None of the Rpo codes i have matched the radio. Does anybody know the RPO code for the single disc and 6-disc?

The RPO for the 6-disc changer is UC6.

I must have been inputting the rpo as a o instead of a zero.
