I dont know what the problem is. The fuse in the underseat fuse panel was blown so I take it out and put a new one in and it immediately blows as soon as its plugged in. Anyone know? Its a stock radio

Either a short inside the radio, or in the wiring from the fuse box to the radio. You need to take the radio out, pull the connectors off the back, then try another fuse. Finding wiring shorts is difficult, since you have to inspect the wires all the way from the fuse panel to the back of the dashboard. It helps if you have a voltmeter and somebody with a factory shop manual to help trace the harness. Or a bunch of experience with this sort of problem. Got any experienced friends?

kinda old thread, only takes you 2 months to reply.

if you need help at this part you should just take it to a shop. but if you really want to know, just pull. push the center vents all the way down, hold on and pull, that easy.

here is an old trick that you should keep in mind

sometimes kids weird people have pennies that get stuck in the cig/12 volt plugs and short out the radio- you might want to check this area

seriously it is funny how often this situation has been come across.
