Hi

A quick look at my fluids shows I need a little power steering fluid.

Manual says GM fluid or equivalent. Can I mix existing fluid with another brand? Does the brand on this matter?

As long as the fluids meet GM specs you can mix and match. Brands don't matter.:m2:

What I do is use a turkey baster and suck out the old fluid in the power steering reservoir....
I refill with Valvoline Semi synthetic.
I drive for a week to allow it to circulate and then repeat the procedure.

Ive done this since about 15,000... no problems yet.
