Just wondering...what is the normal running oil pressure on the I6 and how much should it fluctuate from low to high rpm's?

If I remember correctly .. normal pressure at steady highway speed (60 to 70 mph) is jsut past 40 lbs or just to the right of center

Mine runs just right of center at idle, and a couple of ticks above at speed. IIRC, the pump pushes about 60 psi under load.

the oil pressure gauge in our clusters are known as an "idiot gauge." Its not very accurate and goes up/down depending on how much throttle/gas is given. The best way to tell oil pressure is to hook up an external gauge and get a reading off that.
