Hello all. I am so glad I found this site. Having and issue with oil pressure. Yesterday it was reading between 60-80 and now it is just buried in the 80 mark. Even when the engine is off it reads 80 psi. I know that there is no pressure when the motor is off so it must be the guage. I cannot figure out how/where to attach a manuel oil pressure guage to make sure this reading is correct. Any help would be awsome.

GH:thx

Don't worry about getting your pressure tested; it's the stepper motor in the gauge.

You can get a new gauge cluster from GM (expensive if it's not on warranty,) get your cluster rebuilt or if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can do it yourself. Search for stepper motor in these forums for exact instructions.
