Good afternoon. I need some advice. I went to go change the oil for the 1st time on my 04 Trailblazer. When I took out the plug there was some coil like thing that came out with the plug. I thought maybe these had a spring plug, went to the auto store and purchased a new plug real quick. That is when I noticed that it wasnt a spring, it was probably a Helicoil that someone previously installed. I went to checking around for options and kinda like the sound of the Eco Drain Plug. It has good reviews from Amazon and else where on the web. Has anyone used on to fix what is probably a stripped drain plug. I know that the best repair would be to have the oil pan replaced but that is out of my limits at the moment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
