no brake lights are coming on either side.

no tail light bar light either.

cruise control does not work

i have a service manual but can not find a set of schematics for brake light system.

does anyone have one or point me where to go.

i am aware it is most likely a brake switch issue but would like to trouble shoot before throwing parts.

i am also aware that all 3 have seperate fuses left, right, tail light bar.

thank u in advance.

Well .... just for kicks and giggles .... bear with me here for the nonce ........ and assuming all these lights are failed because of a bad brake light switch is rife with tail chasing and hand-wringing later on.

I'd look for a common cause and it isn't gonna be a slew of rogue fuses that all decided to go AWOL at the same time.

Open the hatch and find the rubber bellows at the high hinge-line and at that same point, pull the rubber door gasket off the pinch weld so you can drop the headliner just enough to see the wires above it.

Your troubles TYPICALLY come from wires that broke internally .... inside the insulation and cannot be seen.

You should also be ready to remove the inside door panel to access the other ends of the wires so you can give them the Armstrong Wire Linear Integrity Test (called the: AWLIT from this point on) by pulling on them to see if they stretch.

Copper doesn't stretch easily --- plastic insulation does ... stretch, that is.

Repair the broken wires by splicing in, new wire. DO NOT TRY to just splice the wires back together.

You need new wire at the bend-y places to start the abuse cycle all over again, fresh ... so they can now pass the AWLIT.

PS --- use the RED 22-18AWG wire splices with the thermal glue that shrinks to mechanically hold the connection together and seal out moisture from the junction.

Using the big-honkin' BLUE splices is not professional and will lead to failures that become rather "interesting" to find in the future.

That rubber boot has nothing to do with the taillights, it is only for the items in the tailgate.
Attached is a schematic for the rear taillights.

You're fortunate .... I have to fire up the string trimmer and walk my 1/2 mile of fence line in 100°F heat and direct sunshine.

Then I have another cord of Lodgepole to split and 3 cords to ric (stack so air can dry it) in my woodshed.

Thankfully the sun doesn't set until 9:45 PM or so .......

Cloud Sky Vehicle Tire Car

i was not a happy camper
a piece of steel tried to climb into my lap at 70 miles an hour
i saw it comming and ducked into the passenger seat.
got about 50 minor shards of glass in my arm as i was slamming on the brakes and holding the envoy straight.
fortunatly no major injuries.

TRUE STORY

My sister had a bowling ball come in through the passenger's side windshield.
Fortunately, she was driving.
Unfortunately her husband was riding shotgun.
Fortunately it missed his lap and stomach.
Unfortunately it hit him in the head.
Fortunately he was killed instantly.
Unfortunately he left her without a life insurance policy for accidental death.
Fortunately the kids who dropped the ball from the overpass were caught.
Unfortunately the parents were all judgement-proof and had no assets.

thank u all for the help it was the brake switch.
i pressed on it hard enough to crack it.

now all i need to find is a replacement brake light switch retainer clip.
mine is barely usable it was bent on.

but brake lights now are working.

there is so much junk/crap on the roads and falling off of trucks etc. the city can not keep up even IF they were trying to.

got to call customers for their appointments tommorrow

again thank u to all those that commented and helped
