Hey guys newbie in the house. I joined a while ago just to look thru the threads and stuff and see what I could do. I'm very very new to mods. the most I've ever done is put in a system. But I love my 08 trailblazer and I feel like the engine is more powerful then what Im getting out of it. i push the gas and it just doesnt go like I feel it can. What could I do to help? I mean like i said Im very new to this as in never before and when Im reading these threads its like reading Japanese when it gets to engine mods. Can someone in plain english give me a few tips on getting more out of my TB? I know the CIA and dumping the resonator stuff. Thanks so much for your help and as soon as I actually get started I look forward to posting pics and updates. I also plan on getting 22" Rockstars on low profile tires and dumping the roofrack and decals and flat blacking EVERYTHING, rims included.

Welcome! :tiphat

I hear what you're saying about there being more power available. I'm currently driving a brand new Envoy from the Dealer's loaner pool. I'm not sure if it's branded as a 2009 or 2010, but it only has 2000km on the odometer (that's about a weeks worth of driving to & from the job site for me). My 2005 TB is in the shop for another head gasket (the last one only lasted about three weeks due to dealer screw up). The Envoy does not perform as well as my TB at low RPM. It is slow to shift gears, and the transition from one gear to the next is somewhat long and drawn out. There is plenty of power in the higher RPM range, which is normal. The best thing to do for increasing power and adjusting shift points is to get a PCMforLess tune. You will find plenty of information when you do a search.

There are a lot of great folks here with a wealth of knowledge and experience just waiting to share it. :grouphug: We all look forward to your contributions as well.

It’s easy to find answers to your questions. The Search Engine is accessible from several locations. Just look for the word “Search” and click on it. A box will open where you will enter your search criteria. “Search” is you friend. Know it. Use it. Love it!

Have you checked out the Site Rules yet? The site rules can be found under the Resources drop-down menu at the top of any TrailVoy page. A link follows this paragraph. Site Rules provide guidelines for being a responsible participant in the TrailVoy community. I'm sure you will enjoy this site and it will serve you and your TV for a long time to come. :)

Welcome to trailvoy. Many members here have their trucks pcm tuned to get more performance out them. There is a vendor that supports this site that does it. Keep us updated with pictures when you do your appearance mods.
