I installed new AC Delco front disc pads on my 2004 Trailblazer EXT. I did a thorough job--removed the brake pad brackets, scrubbed out the rust, pulled the slider pins, cleaned out the slider holes and re-lubed with silicone grease, installed new pad clips, lubed all the metal contact points on the calipers and sprayed CRC anti squeak brake compound on the backs of the pads. I did not install new slider pins--I cleaned off the rust with sandpaper and 0000 steel wool, then lubed them up good with the silicone.

After several weeks, I get periodic squeaks coming from the front brakes.

Is there something I missed or could do better?

Thanks

It could just be the composition of the brake material.

I've had brakes that will do that sometimes, especially foreign makes/models --- can we say "Volvo" and "Saab"?

What was your "new brake lining" bedding-in process?
