So, I've got a 03 TB EXT 2WD that needs a new engine.

I found an engine out of an 04. I think it was the SWB, so is there any problems there?

Also, will an 04 engine fit into an 03 TBEXT?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

There is a small difference, some members have reported that the serp belt is longer (or shorter). I recall the reason was a difference in water pump pulley size.
The LWB trucks have a rear HVAC system that shares the compressor with the front HVAC.
One would think this compressor would be larger for the LWB trucks (and maybe it is) and that would be the reason for a different belt.

I'll try to find the thread and link it here.

BTW, there is a recall on 02 and early 03 engines. Some members have receive a free replacement from gm

Ok, here's the link, the difference is the power steering pump
