I have a 2008 Trailblazer that needs a catalytic converter. I have read several posts on here about people having success with some after market converters like Mangaflow and Walker as far as not throwing the code again after being replaced. I also read others still had problems. These posts were several years old for the most part and I was curious if anyone who had to get their cat replaced back then could offer some input on how they're trailblazer is operating now and what converter they used?
Thank you in advance!

I've installed both those brands and really never had a problem with them.

The first thing I always did after putting them on was to run the engine at 3000 RPM to burn off the "Cotton Candy" smell. That insured that the cat was capable of firing-off and was good to go from that point on.

A good convertor - not acheap "One size fits all" type should never place any strain on the performance of your engine, not affect the fuel mileage or lifespan of the engine.

A CHEAP cat can be a big mistake as they CAN and usually WILL deteriorate quickly.
