Mall Of America Meet - Bloomington MN
Hello all from your MN State Rep.
I was looking at the midwest meet calendar for this summer and noticed there's nothing going on in August yet. I know this may be a bit far out for some of you, but I'm the type to plan in advance, so here goes.
I'd like to hold a meet at the Mall Of America this August. I was thinking either the 15th or the 22nd.
Anyone from surrounding states that have wanted a reason to drive up for a day at the MOA, this would be a perfect time for it. There are tons of hotels in the area, lots of restaurants, entertainment, and fun.
The Mall of America is a great family place, so kids/spouses/significant others are more than encouraged to attend.
Let's hear some ideas or opinions!

Iv been looking, but nothing THAT cheap. I would really like to find either an LT or LTZ so i can get the foglights.I got my 02 LT with 114k on it for 5800 in Waconia. There are some decent deals out there.

Yeah, it's the 22nd. Mystic and Canterbury are both pretty close.Which day did we end up deciding on, the 15th or the 22nd... can't remember and a little to lazy to search back through the thread.
Also not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but there is also a very nice casino, and a horse racing track not to far from the MOA if anyone likes to gamble. :undecided

I did some scouting this past weekend of the meet location. I went out there on Saturday morning and figured out that it gets pretty busy around there right around lunch time. I figure if we meet there around 11 am we should be able to find a place where we can all park together. Hang out there for a bit, then cruise down to the mall, set up a parking location down there, and enjoy all the mall has to offer.
I also learned that all the lots at the park are pay lots. They cost 75c per hour to park there. Is everyone okay with putting up a little pocket change, or should I try to find a free lot? There are quite a few picnic areas with grills already there, so it'd be really convenient. Plus it's close to the Mall.

Not gonna have a TB. Going to be driving my sisters 96 Subaru Outback for a month or 2 until winter when i will try again for a TB lol
