Anybody ever thought of doing an ls1 or lsx truck motor swap????

Don't tell me I'm a crazed lunatic......Yes that's me,,,,

I want ls1/x power.......Soo what.....

I'm thinking a custom wiring harness or maybe even a painless setup.....

What you guys think????, I can most likely use oem 5.3 trailvoy components such as mounts, oil pan,pcm etc....,,,,,,

Only positive comments plz..... I have money, I'm not a dreamer,,,,,

Swapped my pos smartrak for selectable 4wd......Dont tell me its not worth it.....Whats not worth having a v8 gmt360 bravada???

Ohhh yeah, just swapped my brakes w a custom setup baybee....:woot:

More money, than brains?????

Actually, the 5.3 Tb,Envoy,Saab 9-2-x motors are the best candidate.....

As they came Oem w the 5.3, all the accessories and wiring are made for the vehicle.....all the fuel lines, motor mounts, drive shaft, exhaust etc. are literally "bolt-on".............

But since the v8 models came with a different front/rear differential....

I may have to use the tail shaft housing from the 4l60e in My Bravada now, on the v8 4l60e....

If I use that tail shaft housing, then I shouldn't have to worry about custom shafts etc.....

I can also have the motor pulled complete with harness' cluster, d-shafts,motor mounts, pcm, oil pan, exhaust manifolds and complete exhaust w/ o2 sensors etc.....

Would the afm/dod 5.3 be much more of a pain in the arse than the normal 5.3 trailvoys?

I hear they run on a high-speed LAN......idk???:undecided
