im fairly nerw to this forum even though ive gotten a lot of knowledge from this site. im trying to figure out what this sensor is and why itrs oil soaked. right next to the power steering pump and even though the power steering fluid leaks out faster than i can put it in, i don't believe its that. the viscosity is a good bit lower.

This is the CPAS (camshaft position actuator solenoid), it is part of the VVT (variable valve timing) system. This part operates with the oil from the valve area and when it goes bad, the oil will leak out. Replace this soon, you will need to loosen the power steering pump to gain access the lower mounting bolt.
